Brett Howden’s second goal late in the third period sealed a 4-3 victory for the Vegas Golden Knights over the NHL-leading Winnipeg Jets on Friday night.
Howden’s game-winner came with just 4:05 remaining, breaking a 3-3 tie only seven minutes after Winnipeg had evened the score.
Ivan Barbashev scored twice for the Golden Knights, extending his hot streak, while Adin Hill stopped 22 shots to secure the win. Vegas has now won four of its last five games.
Cole Perfetti scored two goals, and Neal Pionk added another for the Jets, who have now dropped three of their last four contests. Eric Comrie made 26 saves in a losing effort.
