Jordan Martinook scored in his fourth consecutive game, leading the Carolina Hurricanes to a 5-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday, spoiling Vegas’s perfect home record.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Eric Robinson, and Jordan Staal each contributed a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes, with Tyson Jost adding another goal. Jaccob Slavin provided two assists, while Martin Necas extended his point streak to 10 games. Goalie Pyotr Kochetkov made 31 saves to secure the win.

Jack Eichel scored a goal and an assist for the Golden Knights, marking his eighth point in three games, and Ivan Barbashev scored their other goal. Adin Hill, the Vegas goaltender, was pulled 6:13 into the second period after allowing four goals on 21 shots.

The Hurricanes rebounded after their eight-game win streak was snapped in a 6-4 loss to Colorado on Saturday. They became the first team to beat Vegas at home this season, ending the Golden Knights 8-0 home start, a franchise record.

Carolina’s Seth Jarvis, who has 11 points this season, was sidelined with an upper-body injury.

In a first-period video tribute, the Golden Knights honored former player William Carrier, now with Carolina. Carrier faced his former team for the first time since joining the Hurricanes; Vegas originally selected him in the 2017 expansion draft.
