Howden’s OT Goal Lifts Golden Knights Past Utah 4-3, Keeping Perfect Home Record Intact

Brett Howden maneuvered around Alexander Kerfoot and scored 2:15 into overtime, securing the Vegas Golden Knights’ 4-3 victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Saturday night and keeping Vegas unbeaten at home.

Noah Hanifin contributed a goal and two assists for the Golden Knights, while Howden also tallied an assist. Pavel Dorofeyev and William Karlsson added goals, and Adin Hill stopped 16 shots.

Logan Cooley led Utah with a goal and an assist, while Ian Cole and Kerfoot also scored. Nick Bjugstad provided two assists, and Connor Ingram made 31 saves.

Trailing 2-0 late in the second period, the Golden Knights surged back with three straight goals, taking the lead when Karlsson scored on a breakaway at 5:37 of the third period.

Kerfoot tied the game for Utah with 6:50 remaining, capitalizing on a bounce that left the puck open in front of the Vegas net.

With the win, the Golden Knights extended their best home start in franchise history to 8-0, outscoring opponents 43-19 at T-Mobile Arena.
