The Vegas Golden Knights wasted no time asserting dominance Thursday night, scoring four goals on their first six shots to cruise past the Los Angeles Kings with a 4-1 victory.

Explosive Start Powers Vegas to Victory

Vegas came out firing and took control early, heading into the Olympic break with back-to-back wins after a rough stretch where they had dropped seven of eight games. Los Angeles, meanwhile, continued its slump, losing for the fourth time in five outings.

Mark Stone led the way with a goal and two assists. Jack Eichel and Pavel Dorofeyev each added a goal and an assist, while Mitch Marner contributed with a goal of his own—his 799th career point. Ivan Barbashev tallied two assists to extend his point streak to five games, though his four-game goal streak came to an end.

Milestone Moments

Adin Hill turned in a strong performance between the pipes, stopping 32 shots to notch his 100th career win. It marked his highest save total since March 15, 2025, when he made 34 saves against Buffalo.

Eichel’s assist on the night pushed him to 200 career assists as a Golden Knight. Barbashev also continued to impress with his recent offensive output.

Kings Unable to Capitalize on Chances

Trevor Moore netted the lone goal for the Kings. Goaltender Anton Forsberg made 18 saves, but LA failed to capitalize on six power plays, including a shared fighting major. The Kings’ power-play struggles continued, as they went 0-for-5 with the man advantage.

Adrian Kempe’s impressive eight-game point streak was snapped in the loss.

Injuries and Absences

Kings forward Andrei Kuzmenko left the game late in the first period after taking a puck to the face but returned for the second. Newly acquired Artemi Panarin, traded from the New York Rangers on Wednesday, was not in the lineup as expected. He had registered 57 points in 52 games with the Rangers but hadn’t played or practiced for over a week prior to the trade.
