Pavel Dorofeyev continued his hot streak with two goals and an assist for the second straight game, and Adin Hill posted his first shutout in a year as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 on Saturday night.

The win pushed Vegas back into first place in the Pacific Division with 76 points, moving them one point ahead of Anaheim after the Ducks fell 2-0 to Ottawa earlier in the day.

Rasmus Andersson and Keegan Kolesar also scored for the Golden Knights, while Mark Stone and Mitch Marner each recorded two assists. Jack Eichel, appearing in his 300th game with Vegas, saw his three-game goal streak come to an end.

Chicago goaltender Spencer Knight made 28 saves in the loss.

Dorofeyev’s two goals both came on the power play against the NHL’s top-ranked penalty-kill unit, giving him a franchise-record 17 and 18 goals with the man advantage this season.

Hill stopped all 21 shots he faced, earning his first shutout since a 4-0 victory over Columbus on March 13, 2025.

Chicago nearly broke the shutout early in the third period when defenseman Artyom Levshunov fired a shot into the net from the right point. However, the goal was overturned after Vegas successfully challenged that Ryan Greene had committed a hand pass before the play.

Vegas also received a key defensive play in the second period when Tomas Hertl knocked away a shot from Greene with Hill out of position.

The Golden Knights seized control early, scoring three goals in a span of about three and a half minutes during the first period in what later became a physical contest. Vegas defenseman Jeremy Lauzon and Chicago’s Ethan Del Mastro were both ejected in the third period after receiving roughing and misconduct penalties.

The game also marked a milestone for referee Wes McCauley, who officiated his 1,500th NHL game. He was honored during a first-period stoppage, and Golden Knights players congratulated him after the final horn.
