Tomas Hertl scored on the power play 4:47 into overtime, capping a comeback as the Vegas Golden Knights edged the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 on Tuesday night and extended Winnipeg’s skid to 10 consecutive losses.

Vegas snapped its own five-game slide (0-3-2) behind goals from Hertl, Reilly Smith, Mitch Marner, and Brett Howden. Smith added an assist, while Carter Hart stopped 17 shots in goal.

The game-winner came after Jets defenseman Dylan Samberg was whistled for tripping late in overtime. Marner fired a shot toward the crease, and Hertl redirected it past Connor Hellebuyck as he battled for position in front.

Winnipeg built an early lead with goals from Cole Perfetti and Luke Schenn in the first period. Perfetti opened the scoring 5:16 in, snapping a 16-game goal drought, and Schenn—skating in his 1,100th NHL game—made it 2-0 with a point shot through traffic.

The momentum briefly shifted late in the second when Mark Stone scored on the power play just 12 seconds into the advantage, cutting the deficit in half. Brett Howden tied it midway through the third, extending his goal streak to three games.

Kyle Connor restored Winnipeg’s lead with just over five minutes left, but Vegas answered quickly. Smith scored 59 seconds later to force overtime.

The Jets were also shaken earlier when defenseman Haydn Fleury was stretchered off the ice late in the first period after crashing hard into the end boards.

Winnipeg received goals from Perfetti, Schenn, and Connor, with Gabriel Vilardi recording two assists. Hellebuyck finished with 27 saves as the Jets fell to 0-6-4 during their losing streak.
