Tyler Bertuzzi capped a standout night by completing his hat trick just 1:18 into overtime, pushing the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3–2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday.

The overtime winner marked Bertuzzi’s second hat trick of the season and the fifth of his NHL career. He finished the play by redirecting a perfectly timed feed from Ilya Mikheyev past Vegas goaltender Akira Schmid.

Chicago extended its strong run with a third straight victory and won for the fourth time in six games. Goalie Arvid Söderblom turned aside 13 shots, while the Blackhawks handed Vegas its sixth consecutive loss.

Bertuzzi tied the game late in regulation, scoring from the right side of the crease with 8:24 remaining to make it 2–2. After dominating early, the Golden Knights managed just two shots the rest of the way.

Vegas’ goals came from Mark Stone and Brandon Saad. Stone continued his recent surge, netting his fourth goal in four games to give the Golden Knights a 2–1 edge just 42 seconds into the second period.

Schmid finished with 17 saves, including several key stops in the third on close-range chances from Artyom Levshunov and Ryan Greene, but Bertuzzi’s late equalizer and overtime finish proved decisive.
