Brad Marchand continued his scorching form, scoring in his fifth straight game to help the Florida Panthers defeat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 on Monday night at T-Mobile Arena.
The 37-year-old veteran, who also added an assist, has now tallied six goals in his last five games and sits just two points shy of the 1,000-point milestone for his career. His current streak is just one shy of matching his personal best — a seven-game goal run from 2016.
Jesper Boqvist and Sam Reinhart also found the back of the net for Florida, while Donovan Sebrango recorded two assists. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was sharp throughout, stopping 30 shots to secure the win.
For Vegas, Tomas Hertl and Ivan Barbashev each scored, with Barbashev extending his own productive stretch to four goals and two assists in his past four games. Rookie netminder Carl Lindbom made 17 saves but remains winless in four career starts (0-3-1), posting a 3.25 GAA and .869 save percentage.
Despite generating eight high-danger scoring chances — including a prime opportunity where Mitch Marner deked Bobrovsky but sent his shot over the net — the Golden Knights couldn’t convert enough of their offensive pressure into goals.
Vegas’ struggles at home continued, falling to 1-3-1 during their six-game homestand. Meanwhile, Florida wrapped up its four-game Western road trip at an even 2-2.
The matchup reunited the NHL’s two most recent Stanley Cup champions — Vegas, the 2023 winners, and Florida, who claimed back-to-back titles in 2024 and 2025.
