Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside all 17 shots he faced to record his 50th career shutout, and the Florida Panthers handed the Vegas Golden Knights their first regulation loss of the season with a 3-0 victory on Saturday night.

Bobrovsky became just the 33rd goaltender in NHL history to reach the 50-shutout milestone, with 17 of those coming as a Panther. His steady performance helped Florida improve to 5-5-0 overall and 4-1-0 at home.

Sam Reinhart, Cole Schwindt, and A.J. Greer supplied Florida’s offense. Reinhart scored late in the first period, Schwindt doubled the lead early in the third against his former team, and Greer sealed the win with a goal midway through the final frame.

The loss snapped Vegas’s four-game winning streak and ended its unbeaten run in regulation (5-1-2). Goaltender Akira Schmid made 23 saves for the Golden Knights, who had earned at least one point in their first seven games this season.

The matchup carried extra significance, pitting the past two Stanley Cup champions against each other — Vegas, which defeated Florida in 2023, and the Panthers, who captured back-to-back titles over Edmonton in 2024 and 2025.

It was also a memorable night for Schwindt, who faced the Golden Knights for the first time since being claimed off waivers by Florida last month. The 23-year-old forward was dealt initially away by the Panthers three years ago as part of the trade that brought Matthew Tkachuk from Calgary. Schwindt spent last season in Vegas, tallying one goal and seven assists in 42 games.
