Trevor Moore Scores Twice as Kings Rally in 3rd Period for 5-2 Win Over Golden Knights

Trevor Moore found the net twice, while Warren Foegele scored the game-winner as the Los Angeles Kings staged a third-period comeback to defeat the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 on Monday night.

Moore notched his second multi-goal game of the season, continuing his hot streak with four goals in his last four games.

Joel Edmundson and Kevin Fiala also scored in the final period for Los Angeles, which improved to an impressive 14-1-1 in its last 16 games. Quinton Byfield had a career-high four assists, and Darcy Kuemper made 19 saves to secure his eighth consecutive home victory, tying Kelly Hrudey for the longest home winning streak by a Kings goaltender.

Vegas, whose three-game winning streak snapped, got second-period goals from Brayden McNabb and Mark Stone. Ilya Samsonov made 14 saves in the loss.

Trailing 2-1 entering the third period, the Kings quickly evened the score when Moore fired a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle that ricocheted off the crossbar just 42 seconds into the frame.

Foegele then put Los Angeles ahead for good at 8:31, flipping a backhand shot past Samsonov.
