Roope Hintz also found the back of the net, while Matt Duchene, Wyatt Johnston, and Evgenii Dadonov each tallied two assists for Dallas. The Stars leveled their season series with Vegas 1-1, adding another chapter to the rivalry of teams that have split playoff series the last two years.

Jake Oettinger stopped 18 shots, including a highlight-reel glove save on a close-range attempt by Pavel Dorofeyev in the final seconds, securing the win for the Stars.

Jack Eichel scored twice for Vegas, and Shea Theodore added a goal. Captain Mark Stone recorded three assists, while Tomas Hertl extended his career-best eight-game point streak with an assist. Adin Hill made 23 saves for the Golden Knights, who remain atop the Pacific Division despite a 2-6-1 skid over their last nine games.
